DEWITT, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a report of a woman's kidnapping has led to the biggest cocaine bust in the Syracuse area's history.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office say a woman called 911 late on Nov. 3 to report that she had been beaten by her husband, then tied up and forced at knifepoint into the trunk of his car before managing to escape.

Deputies say a search of the couple's suburban DeWitt home led to a second search of a residence in Syracuse, where police uncovered 25 kilograms of cocaine, 135 pounds of marijuana and $90,000 in cash.

Officials say the cocaine has an estimated street value of more than $3 million.

Police have charged the woman's 38-year-old husband with kidnapping, menacing and criminal possession of narcotics.
