Marcy, NY (WIBX) - Beginning in April Facebook is scheduled to begin putting video ads on users' news feeds.

We asked our listeners whether they supported the idea.  And, there were no big surprises.  Although just about half of the respondents to our poll said that "it was inevitable," just about the same amount said that they do not support putting video advertisements on the social networking site.

It remains to be seen whether the ads will affect usage of Facebook.  Company founder Mark Zuckerberg says his site is "free and always will be."  The media giant has to make money, though, and company executives are hopeful that the video ads will generate significant revenue.
