UPDATE: 05/22/2015 10:28am  Metro-North is reporting that the New Haven Line and Hudson Line are both operating on or close to schedule.

UPDATE: 05/22/2015 10:20am  Authorities have issued an "all-clear" after investigating a suspicious package found this morning at Manhattan's Grand Central Terminal.

Posted transportation delays are still in effect, however, since congestion has built up on inbound and outbound lines.

Various news agencies are reporting that a portion of Grand Central Terminal in New York City has been shut down after authorities found a suspicious package.

The package was found at approximately 9:00am on the lower level.

All inbound and outbound trains are affected.  Metro-North trains are delayed.  Overall delays of twenty to thirty minutes are expected while police continue to investigate.

Metro-North says that inbound service to Grand Central terminal is delayed between twenty to thirty minutes.  Outbound trains are experiencing delays of about fifteen minutes.

No other details are available.
