Problems are being reported at one Central New York polling site.

A source tells WIBX that the Ward 4 First Apostolic Church, located at 140 Clinton Road in New Hartford, has ballot machines that are not accepting ballots.  One person, on condition of anonymity, tells WIBX that the ballots go "almost all the way through" the machine before the machine either jams or the paper stops.  Another source told WIBX just after 6:10 this morning that he was unable to vote at the location, although others have denied this claim, stating that there was a problem, but no one has been denied the ability to cast a vote.

Officials at the site have voters placing completed paper ballots in a ballot box, to be eventually counted by hand.

Oneida County Board of Elections Commissioners Russell Stewart and Rose Grimaldi are reported to be at the site working on the issue. Calls to the Board of Elections indicate only that both commissioners are "out in the field."  Calls by WIBX to the commissioners have not yet been returned.

WIBX has been told that sample ballots, which had been tested prior to Election Day, did not present any issues that would have predicted this complication.

This is a developing story and we will keep you posted as we learn more.  In the meantime we are told that voters wishing to cast ballots at the Clinton Road location may still do so.
