Motor Vehicle Accident in Rome Closes Black River Boulevard [PHOTOS]

An accident near Black River Boulevard in Rome is being cleared.

Rome Police tell us that the accident is being investigated.

Earlier reports from passersby of a shooting are not true.

Westbound traffic from Black River Boulevard is being redirected to Floyd Avenue.

An accident reconstruction team is on the scene.  A van involved in the accident is being loaded onto a tow truck.
