Utica, NY (WIBX) - Repsonding to a national recall of ground turkey, Price Chopper has removed their one-pound packages of turkey patties from store shelves.

The ground meat was produced by Cargill in Arkansas.

The items pulled have sell by dates of June 27, 2011 through August 4, 2011.

The recall is because of potential salmonella contamination.

You are strongly urged to check and see if you have the product in your freezer; you can return it to your nearest Price Chopper for a full refund.
