Price Rite Supermarkets will be opening the doors of their new store at 501 Bleecker Street on Sunday.

Regional Director of Operations Josh Bartholomew says the Utica location is their 12th store in New York state.

Bartholomew says supermarket chain's shopper-friendly format features a wide selection of fresh produce, natural and organic products and a variety of private label and national grocery brands -- at about half the cost of a traditional supermarket.

The Price Rite will be open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The new store means 85 jobs for the local economy.

The first 200 customers in line on Sunday will get a $25 Price Rite gift card.
