Proctor HS Student Facing Charges After Cafeteria Incident

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Proctor high school student was taken to jail following a disturbance in the school's cafeteria. Officials arrested 18-year-old Adnan Dervisevic after he allegedly purposely shut the door on another student and pushed a security officer. The suspect is also accused of kicking the officer attempting to handcuff him, and grabbing a nearby table refusing to let go while repeatedly kicking, in an attempt to resist getting handcuffed.

Police charged Dervisevic with two counts of 2nd degree Harassment and Resisting Arrest. He will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court. Officials say the incident occurred yesterday morning around 11:20 in the school cafeteria.
