Property Tax Exemption Applicatons In Utica Due By August 1st

The City of Utica is reminding property owners that applications for property tax exemptions, including the STAR and Senior Citizens exemptions, are due by August 1st.

For either exemption, the property must be the primary residence of the applicant and proof of residence must be submitted with the application.

Enhanced STAR recipients already enrolled in the STAR Income Verification Program and who have received approval from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance have already been notified of their eligibility.

Applications are available at the city Assessor's office.
