The Professional Road Running Organization's Circuit Championship will take place this year at the Boilermaker.

The championship, which was previously scheduled for the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, was moved to Utica in response to Peachtree's focus on the USA Track and Field's Men's and Women's 10K Championships this year.

Winners of PRRO Circuit races during the 2013-14 season will be able to compete for the circuit bonus at the Boilermaker.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity to host the prestigious PRRO championships,” said Utica Boilermaker Race Director, Jim Stasaitis. “The Boilermaker 15K is the crown jewel in our community’s weekend events, and the championships will add an extra shine to the celebration.”

This will be the Boilermaker's first time hosting the championship.

The Boilermaker will take place on Sunday, July 14th.
