Rabid Horse In Herkimer County

Herkimer County Public Health is reporting a case of a rabid horse in Newport.

The horse was tested by Wadsworth Labs this week and confirmed to be infected.

Herkimer County Public Health is reminding residents that rabies is present in the county and to make sure your pets are vaccinated.
