Plenty of scoring opportunities were fended off by Philadelphia's Steve Mason, but two Rangers were able to find the net in New York's 2-1 win over the Flyers in Game 7 at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

Dan Carcillo scored first, 3:06 into the second period, before Benoit Pouliot beat Mason at the 11:46 mark.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 26 of 27 shot on goal. Jason Akeson had the Flyers lone tally.

Mason ended with 31 saves.

The Rangers, who've never lost a Game 7 at home, now travel to Pittsburgh to open a series with the Penguins on Friday night.

It's a pretty quick turnaround of New York, who will be playing their third game in four nights. Pittsburgh's series with Columbus ended on Monday, after going six games.
