There was no winner in Saturday's Mega Millions drawing for an estimated $1 billion, which means the jackpot has carried over for Tuesday's drawing, and is already over $1.6 billion.

The odds of winning the jackpot and getting the perfect winning ticket are one in 302.5 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot isn't the only lottery growing in size. There was no winner in the Powerball drawing on Saturday and that jackpot has grown to $620 million, with a cash payout of $324 million.  The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday.

Previously, the largest jackpot in U.S. history was $1.586 billion, won on January 13, 2016.  The second highest was a distant $759 million jackpot won in August of 2017. Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot will likely grow depending on ticket sales before the 11 p.m. drawing.
