Remington Arms in Ilion is making another round of layoffs.

Sources tell WIBX that 126 employees will be let go Tuesday, citing budgetary reasons and market outlook being 'soft' for the next year.

The layoffs are effective as of Tuesday, and those laid off were told to empty their lockers and remove any personal belongings.

Employees who were let go will have the opportunity to meet with the Department of Labor, unemployment officials and a workforce group Wednesday at the Arms.

An employee who was one of the workers to be let go told WIBX that he would get a lump sum check at the end of the week that includes severance pay and unused vacation time.
