Remington: It Might Be All About the Benjamins
Benjamin Franklin was the oldest man to sign the Constitution of the United States, but he continues to be one of the most relevant to the modern day.
The Second Amendment, as CEO George Kollitides asserted, played a role in Remington’s expansion to Alabama, but so – apparently – did $65.9 million in incentives from the state of Alabama, Madison (Alabama) County, and the city of Huntsville.
It is expected to cost Remington more than $110 million to equip the factory, once a Chrysler plant in Huntsville. More than $50 million of the money provided by the state us to be used to help offset that cost.
