Remsen Woman Charged With Grand Larceny

A Remsen woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing and cashing checks that belonged to another Remsen resident.
According to State Police Amanda Ackerman, 27, of Dustin Road reportedly stole, forged and cashed 22 checks in the City of Utica that totaled almost $15,000.

Ackerman was charged with 3rd Degree Grand Larceny and 2nd Degree Forgery, and is being held in the Utica Police Department lockup while she awaits arraignment.
