It looks like Utica Comets head coach Travis Green is being called up to the NHL.

Green, 46, played 14 NHL seasons and coached the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks to a WHL championship before becoming coach of the Comets.

In four seasons with Utica, Green's Comets made two playoff appearances and had a combined record of 155-110-39-12.

The Canucks are coming off back to back seasons without a playoff appearance. They fired coach Willie Desjardins earlier this month.
