Reports: More Than 20 Killed in Texas Church Shooting

Update 6:58 p.m. : The death toll in Sunday's shooting is at least 26, with the victims ranging in age from 5 to 72, according to Texas officials.

A gunman opened fire inside a Texas church on Sunday killing more than 20 injuring many more, according to reports. 

The Associated Press reports an official from Wilson County said he'd been told the death toll topped 20 at a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas - about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio.

The pastor and his wife were not at the church at the time of the shooting - during Sunday morning service - but that the couple's daughter is among the victims who were killed, Fox News Radio reported.

The gunman was killed following a chase into a neighboring county, but authorities there were unsure if the shooter was killed by police or if he took his own life, CNN reported.
