Reward Offered in Binghamton Assault Case

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A $1,000 reward has been posted for information in connection with an attack on a person in downtown Binghamton.

Police say three young adults were confronted by a group of people in a vehicle shortly after 3 a.m. on January 31 near the intersection of Hawley and Exchange streets.

Three people got out of a blue Jeep SUV during the incident. One of those who had been walking was assaulted and sustained injuries to the head and knee. Those who had been in the vehicle then drove away.

Detectives say the victim's family has posted a $500 reward and the Binghamton police are matching that amount for information that leads to the arrest of those involved in the attack.
