Reward Offered Nutrition And Exercise Competition

Utica, NY (WIBX) – The Oneida County Health Department has formed a contract with the Regional Office of Women’s Health for a program designed to enhance health in minority and underserved women.
It begins June 1st.
Teams consisting of between 10-to-15 members will compete in a nutrition and exercise program. Participants will be issued pedometers to record their steps.
At the end of 12 weeks, the 2 teams logging the most steps will be awarded $500.
Participation will be limited to the first twelve community-based organizations who apply with the Oneida County Health Department.
