Richfield Springs Man Arrested on Kidnapping And Weapons Charges

Ilion Police have arrested a Richfield Springs man on kidnapping and weapons charges.

Police say Cory Boepple, 48, allegedly hid in the back seat of his estranged wife’s vehicle and waited for her to leave work.

After she began her drive home Boepple allegedly put his arm around her from the back seat and held her at knife point.

After a witness noticed and called police, Ilion and Mohawk Police were able to stop the vehicle and arrest Boepple without incident.

Boepple was arrested for aggravated criminal contempt, second degree kidnapping, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was sent to the Herkimer County Jail on $30,000 bail.
