Road Runner Mile To Kick Off Boilermaker Activities

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Road Runner Mile, a mid-distance race featuring some of the area's top scholastic and post-collegiate runners, will once again kick-off Boilermaker activities.

The race will take place on Wednesday, June 27th at 5:30 just before the Development Runs on the Parkway.

This marks the second year the race will sport a faster, primarily downhill course.

Two records were shattered last year with the course change.

Race officials say this could be the year for a sub-four minute mile on the men's side and a sub-five minute mile for the women.

Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer on the runners.
