RoboSpartans Win Trophy At Tech Challenge

New Hartford, NY (WIBX) - The New Hartford RoboSpartans are back in town after winning the Connect Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge on Pace University’s Westchester Campus.

The robotics team competed in the Hudson Valley FTC Championship against 33 teams from five states.

The Connect Award Trophy is one of only eight awards given at the competition.

Coached by Bob and Lisa Payne, the RoboSpartans earned the trophy Sunday for their work in helping the community understand what the FIRST robotics program is.

The FIRST Tech Challenge has students design, build and program robots to complete tasks against other teams. Their final competition of the season is in Hartford, Connecticut on March 5th, 2011.
