ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Officials are hoping to make major upgrades to Greater Rochester International Airport by winning up to $40 million from a state competition.

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports (http://on.rocne.ws/29rIyAt ) Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo announced Thursday the airport has applied for a portion of the $190 million pot of money available for airport improvements.
