Rochester Cabbie Crashes Car, Fends Off Would-Be Robbers

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Police in western New York are searching for two men who assaulted a cab driver during an attempted robbery.

WHAM-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2uBowi0 ) two men in the backseat of a cab tried to rob a driver around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in Rochester. Police say the driver accelerated and crashed into a parked car during the attack.

The suspects fled after the crash.

The driver sustained several cuts but is expected to recover.

No arrests have been made.
