Rochester Man Fatally Shot, Body Found In Parking Lot

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they're investigating the fatal shooting of a man who was hit by gunfire in a parking lot on the city's north side.

Officers responding to a report of shots fired shortly before midnight Monday found the man's body on North Clinton Avenue. Police say he had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name hasn't been released.

Police say they're talking with witnesses to try to piece together what happened.
