Rochester Man Killed in Industrial Accident in Herkimer County

State Police are investigating an industrial accident in Herkimer County that resulted in the death of a Rochester man.

According to police 53-year-old John Sedita was operating a forklift in order to unload bundles of fencing. As Sedita was unloading from one end of the trailer a bundle, another bundle fell off the other side of the trailer onto Sedita.

He was transported to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center and he was later pronounced dead. The investigation is still ongoing.
