Star of the stage and Reality Television screen Bret Michaels will be bringing his long list of rock hits to The Great New York State Fair.

Michaels spent several years as the front man of the band, 'Poison,' helping to define the rock n' roll scene on the Sunset Strip. Both in his band and as a solo artist Michaels has sold millions of records and music is not his only passion.

Michaels was responsible for the production of VH1's most successful reality hit, 'Rock of Love with Bret Michaels.' After three seasons of that program he teamed up with the network for the docu-series 'Life As I Know It.'

The 'Poison' standout is also commonly well-known for his 2010 'Celebrity Apprentice' finale winner. In the show now-President Donald Trump setup challenges for a long list of famous people to compete for charitable organizations of their choice. For Michaels his winnings worth $640,000 went to the American Diabetes Association to send kids with Diabetes to camp.

New York State Fair Acting Director Troy Waffner says, "Bret Michaels is an icon of rock ‘n’ roll.  This will be a terrific show and we are pleased to have it as a key part of our largest, greatest and most diverse Chevy Court lineup ever." Michael's will rock the Chevy Court stage for this free concert on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at 8 p.m.

The Great New York State Fair runs from August 23rd to September 4th, 2017.
