Rome Friendly’s Restaurant Among Several Closing in Central New York

The Friendly's Restaurant at 1700 North James Street in Rome will close this week, according to Kessler Family, LLC, the company that owns several of the stores.  The Rome store was listed as one of the non profitable Friendly stores and thus placed on the closure list.

The Rome store is expected to close as early as this Wednesday.  Over the last few years, Friendly's in North Utica and at Sangertown Square in New Hartford closed due to poor sales.

Friendly's on Burrstone Road in Utica near Faxton Saint Lukes Hospital will remain open.
