Rome Police and members of the U.S. Marshal's New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force have apprehended a wanted parolee who has been on the run since October of 2017.

Police say 36-year old Oba Loney was taken into custody without incident in an apartment on Woodland Avenue in Rome.

Loney was wanted for parole violations.

Police say they searched the apartment and found crack cocaine and cash.

As a result, Loney and 24-year old Nihada Sabanagic, the other occupant of the apartment, were both charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
