Rome Grizzlies Girls Honored

Rome, NY (WIBX) - The Rome Grizzlies 14 and under girls hockey team will compete for a National Champioship later this month in Anaheim, California.

Mayor Jim Brown recognized the girls for their New York State Championship with a proclaimation on Monday, marking March 21st, 2011, as Rome Grizzlies Day.

Coach Mark Gaultieri said he has a great group of girls who have really come together as a true team.

The National Championships begin on March 30th.
