Rome House Fire Deemed Suspicious

Rome, NY (WIBX)- The cause of a fire at 8491 Elmer Hill Road in Rome remains under investigation.

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, they were called to the home Monday afternoon for a report of a trespass.

When Deputies and State Troopers arrived, they found the house on fire.

A man was pulled from the burning home and taken to Rome Hospital.

His name has not been released.

The fire is being called "suspicious."
