Rome Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Young Girl

A Rome man has been arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a young girl.  

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, 71-year-old Garth Charles Pritchard was charged with sex abuse after allegedly having inappropriate contact with an eight-year-old girl.

Authorities say Pritchard sexually abused the victim inside his apartment in Rome earlier this month.

Additional charges are possible as the investigation is continuing.

he victim was offered counseling through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
