Rome Man Arrested for Possessing and Displaying a Loaded Handgun
Rome Police responded to the area West Fox Street Sunday for a report of a dispute.
Upon arrival officers were advised that one of the subjects involved had displayed a handgun.
An investigation revealed the location of the suspect and officers took up a perimeter at West Thomas Street where 24-year-old Kenneth Soberanis Jr. was hiding in a first floor bathroom.
Soberanis Jr. was found to allegedly be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber handgun. He was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and other charges. He's being held at Oneida County Jail on $10,000 bail.
