A Rome man is facing numerous charges for allegedly trying to break into a home in Plainsfield.

New York State Police say 31-year old Jason Tuttle had called and threatened to kill the homeowner.

Troopers say Tuttle broke a bedroom window and tried to enter the home while the victim and three children were there.

He fled but was arrested the following day without incident  Tuttle is facing charges including attempted burglary, criminal mischief, menacing, aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

An order of protection was placed against Tuttle.
