Rome Man Arrested On Sex Abuse Charges

A Rome man has been arrested on sex abuse charges.

State Police say 59-year old Robert Porter is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a girl under the age of 10 in Rome.

Porter was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County jail on $25,000 bail.

The victim has been offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
