Rome Man Charged With Possessing Untaxed Cigarettes

A month-long investigation by State Police has led to the arrest of a Rome man for the possession and distribution of untaxed tobacco products.

54-year old David Nadeau was taken into custody following a traffic stop in Rome.

Police say they found over 100 cartons of untaxed cigarettes and a small amount of cash in Nadeau's vehicle.

Nadeau allegedly distributed untaxed cigarettes in and around the Rome area for the past year.
