Rome Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of a 12-Year-Old Child

An 18-year-old Rome man is behind bars after allegedly abusing a 12-year-old girl.

18-year-old Shane Ryan Wilson is accused of sexually abusing the young girl on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017. He was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse in the second degree, Forcible touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Wilson is being held in the Rome Police lockup and is scheduled to be arraigned today in Rome City Court. The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
