Rome Man Charged With Sexually Abusing A Child

A Rome man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child.

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center says 42-year old Sandy Slawson had sexual contact with a girl under the age of 15 earlier this week in Rome.

Slawson was charged wirh criminal sexual act.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.

The victim has been offered counseling at the Child Advocacy Center.
