Rome Man Hit By Car While Blowing Leaves

A Rome man was injured after being struck by a car on Link Road.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 55-year old Donald Burch, Jr. was blowing leaves from the middle of the road when he was hit.

Deputies say the driver of the vehicle tried to avoid the collision but was unable to do so.

Burch taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for treatment.
