Rome Man Killed In Crash In Remsen

A Rome man is dead after his motorcycle struck the back of a truck on Route 12 in Remsen.  

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 55-year old Peter Betz and his passenger 27-year old Tia Eddy, also of Rome, were thrown from Betz's motorcycle when they hit the back of a pickup truck.

Betz died at the scene and Eddy was airlifted to a hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
