Rome Memorial Hospital is ahead of the curve in meeting government standards for use of electronic health records.

The hospital successfully complied with 19 objectives set by the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Care Record Incentive Program and as a result will receive $925,000 in incentive payments to help offset the money used to implement the EHR system.

The program is part of a government plan to encourage health care providers across the country to make the switch to electronic health records.
