A local hospital is looking for a new President and Chief Executive Officer.

After 23 years of service at Rome Memorial Hospital, Basil Ariglio has resigned due to personal reasons. Ariglio joined the hospital as its Chief Financial Officer in 1992 and named CEO in 2011.

“Buzz regrets the sudden nature of his departure to tend to family matters,” Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Chester Patrick said, declining to provide any additional details regarding Ariglio’s resignation.

The hospital Board of Trustees has named former President and CEO Darlene Burns as interim CEO as it develops a plan for a permanent successor.
