Rome, NY (WIBX) - The Rome Memorial Hospital Foundation is bringing back a popular event for the 2010 holiday shopping season. The 4th annual "Holiday Shoppes" will be open for business on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th and the 10th for holiday shoppers looking for unique gift items.

Ann Walseman, Assistant Director, Rome Hospital Foundation said the "Holiday Shoppes" will feature the works of employee vendors, and others from the community. She said, "We have a couple of reasons for doing this, one is so that we give our employees an opportunity to share their arts and crafts with the community, and the other reason is to support the Rome Hospital Foundation. And then from there we have a number of programs during the year that we support the hospital with." Rome Memorial Hospital is the largest non-profit employer in Rome with over 1,000 employees, and Walseman said the event raises roughly $3,000 that goes towards supporting the Foundation.

Holiday shoppers can expect arts and crafts, but also many food items like jelly's and jams. The "Holiday Shoppes" will be open from 7AM to 5PM in the hospital's cafeteria.

The schedule of vendors are as follows:

December 2, 2009: Tastefully Simple, Adirondack Candes, Cookie Lee Jewelry

December 3, 2009: Employee Vendors

December 9, 2009: Employee Vendors

December 10, 2009: Scentsy Candles, Thirty-One Handbags, Lia Sophia Jewelry.
