Rome Men Arrested For Stealing Railroad Materials
Two Rome men are facing charges after attempting to steal railroad track material and scrap it for cash.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, deputies received a call from someone who said two men were allegedly putting things into the back of a pick up truck parked near Reber Road.
A deputy stopped the truck a short time later, where the materials were found in the vehicle’s bed.
Tyler Britton, 20, and Daniel Mendoza, 18, were both charged with Grand Larceny and trespassing charges.
