Rome Police Asking For Help Finding A Missing Teen

Rome, NY (WIBX) - Rome Police are reaching out to the public for assistance in locating 15-year-old Jacob Tanner who hasn't been seen since Saturday.

That's when Tanner was last seen, walking along Route 233 in Stanwix, heading toward Rome, police said.

Tanner is white, about 5' 7'' tall, 130 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes. Tanner was wearing black pants, a white shirt and a black hat with a red stripe when he was last seen, police said.

A release seeking information on Tanner's whereabout also indicated that he may have a 'black and blue' left eye.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rome police directly at 315-339-7780. Please do not send an anonymous tip regarding a sighting or his whereabouts, as the message will not be received right away, according to the Rome Police Department's website.
