Rome Police are asking for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Tops supermarket on Erie Boulevard West.

Shortly before eight on Sunday evening, a man entered the store and handed one of the cashiers a note saying he had a gun and wanted money, though the gun was never displayed.

After receiving some cash, he left the store, running east towards South James Street.

The suspect is a stocky 5'6" white man who is in his late 20s or early 30s, and was last seen with a blue hooded jacket, blue jeans and dark sunglasses with a red goatee.
