A Rome teen is facing several charges stemming from an investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

According to Deputy Chief Jospeh Lisi, 18-year-old Chad M. Andrews has been arrested for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 17 during the Summer 2017.

When deputies arrived at the residence of Andrews to take him into custody, he actively resisted arrest and as a result is now facing additional charges. In the end, Andrews was charged with Sexual Misconduct and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

In addition to the sex crime charges, Andrews is facing a charge of Resisting Arrest. He has been arraigned and remanded to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. The victim has been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
