Rome Teen Killed In Judd Road Crash

A 19-year-old Rome girl was killed in a crash on Judd Road, according to Whitestown Police.

Jillian Velardi was traveling northbound near Westmoreland and Halsey roads around 11am on Friday when she crossed into the southbound lane and struck an oncoming vehicle, police said.

Velardi was pronounced dead at the scene.

A husband and wife in the other vehicle had to be extricated and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say their investigation continues.
