The Rome Train Station will be re-opening for passenger service on Monday, December 17th at 7:00 a.m.

Mayor Jacqueline Izzo says the temporary protected walkway system will be completed and ready for safe pedestrian passage to the train platform.

The train station suffered a catastrophic failure of its pedestrian passageway ceiling on the Fourth of July.

Izzo says the full ceiling repair will happen later in 2019.

Senator Joseph Griffo secured state funding for the project.
